Principal Jose Escribano was appointed to Brightwood Elementary School as principal in 2018. Mr. Escribano has extensive leadership experience as a school counselor, behavior specialist, assistant principal, and principal.

Born and raised in Springfield MA, Mr. Escribano attended Brightwood as an elementary school student. A UMASS Amherst Graduate, father, and husband, Mr. Escribano is committed to making a difference in the lives of young people by providing them with a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment where they can learn, grow and succeed.
